Besitos

That's what's new with Lukas. You ask him for a besito, and he opens his mouth and proceeds to plant a slobbery one on your cheek. :) He gives besitos to mommy, daddy, and even Buffy and Baxter although the latter ones when I'm not watching. Along with his besitos, he can give me a five, high five and low five, and he can say mama, dada, yaya, tete, caca, babe, and an array of other syllables. He can also walk holding on to his carrito or cruise holding onto whatever is in his way.

We're two weeks away from his 1st birthday and the birthday plans are under way. In the meantime, I keep asking myself where the time has gone. One whole year - gone. So much happens in a year. My sweet baby is no longer much of a baby as he is a toddler. He's entering the toddler years full force and it's bittersweet.

On another note, he's still on antibiotics. Last week, after seemingly getting better from his double ear infection and cold, he started regressing and I had to take him back in to the dr's office, only to be re-diagnosed with a double ear infection. The doctor (not his usual one) said it was either the same one that didn't respond to the first antibiotic or another bug he picked up that led to another ear infection - with pus! That meant he was put on another, stronger antibiotic for 10 more days. He's now more than half way through that road and hopefully will be better in no time!
