He's walking! He's walking!!

Well, sorta. This past week, Lukas has been gearing to taking steps unassisted. The first night was Wednesday, where he took 3 steps towards me with some coaxing. Then, Thursday night, he put on a show by repeating a 3-4 step encore about 4 times. :) And then Friday morning he did it one more time for daddy (because he missed it the first 2 times). He is so proud of himself when he's taking the steps and he knows how to do it, but then if he stumbles or falls, he gets upset and frustrated. But the best thing is seeing him beam and grin as I (or whoever is looking) claps and hollers, edging him on. And today I caught him standing by himself and then looking over at me to see if I was watching and making a big deal about it. :) My baby!

He hasn't taken more steps since Friday, though, but that could be because he hasn't been feeling well. Yesterday he was a little warm in the am but no fever, so we went to the mall. When we left, he was burning, and when we got home I took his temp and it was 103! The highest it got last night was 103.7, just shy of the 104 they said was the official "go-to-the-ER" temp. Anyway, Tylenol every 4 hours throughout the night and he woke up cooler - no fever today, but still giving him tylenol. He has no other cold symptoms so it's weird. I'll be taking him tomorrow to the dr because I'm wondering if it's the ears - again.

So my little man is taking steps!

So now I'm hoping he does the walking again so I can catch it on video!
