Hoping for healthy horizons

So this year seemed to have started off well, only to be hijacked by the bug of illness. L got a cold mid-way into Jan, but it never got too bad - just lots of boogies and some congestion. Then abuelita caught L's fabulous cold. Then, daddy started feeling ill, and we're still in the process of trying to find out what's going on with him. This past Thurs, L got what seemed like a sore on his bottom lip; then he got a small pimple-like blister on his finger. We take him to the dr only to find out that he may have hand-foot-mouth disease. Great. Sun he developed another small pimple-like blister on his toe, but other than a few "pimples" on his potito and those before-mentioned bliters, he hasn't had anything else. He did have a small fever Fri night and has been warm since then. And to top things off, he tripped last night on his way to the bath and hit his head hard on the toilet. :( My poor baby. His forehead got dented! I freaked out! Thankfully, after a call to the dr's office, we were told to just monitor him. The indentation went away and he doesn't even have a bump or a bruise. Whew! That was so scary.

Now we're just waiting to see what happens. If he has any type of fever tomorrow we have to take him back to the dr's office. Meanwhile, I've been battling the bugs and except for the occaisional day of sneezing and sore throat, any symptoms go away and I'm left to continue my daily tasks.

On a flip side, my classes are going well and I'm looking forward to spring break! I'll have a lot of grading to catch up on!
