We're going on a Disney cruise!

Did I tell you that I am loving having the summer off?! I've been a lot busier than I expected to be, but then again, I did have a lot planned. I've been writing, meeting over the phone/Skype w/my writer's group, submitting poems and essays to contests, going outside w/L to the pool, park or just outside somewhere, and enjoying all of J's days off! I've also gotten some reading done and I hope to get some scrapbooking done, too. I've been keeping another blog, my creative one (musingsofwriterwannabe.blogspot.com) and I've been working on my current online courses and on my upcoming courses. Phew! That's a lot.

But seriously, I know that's not why you're reading this. Let's move on to the fun stuff - L! He got the dreaded MMR shot about 2.5 weeks ago. We decided that now would be the best time since he's older, he wasn't in school (so I'd be able to take care of him and he hadn't gotten sick), and it would be at least another month before he went back to school. He took it like a champ with minimal crying and he only seemed to get a very slight fever. Nohing much. He's verging on the terrible two's though, so he's been quite the handful lately. His fave word is NO, although he's not dumb. I ask him every question in the book and he answers "no!" to everything. However, when I ask him "Gordo, do you want a million dollars?" He looks at me with a smile, lifts his chin up and says, Ohhhh! That's his way of saying yes. Mama ain't raise no fool! ;)

He is sleeping like a toddler, but in a good way. He goes to sleep on his own now and on most days we don't even have to stay in his room. And he's napping great, too, so that's been a relief for me. We'll see how he does in the cruise.

Oh yes! The cruise! We decided to try one last trip before I go back to work, and it's going to be a combo-bday cruise. We're doing the 4-day Disney cruise and I'm super-duper excited since we've never done a Disney cruise before and we've only cruised once before! L is going to have so much fun. Beach, pool, sun and Mickey Mouse - what more can a toddler ask for?! I'll post updates and maybe some pics when we get back. And we're celebrating a bday a night at dinner time. My 30th (a little early since my bday is in Oct, but can you believe I'm turning 30?!), L's 2nd. J's bday will actually be right after the cruise so for him it's perfect timing!

So that's all folks! :)
